Along with avocado, I also add vegetable oil and honey to form the mask stronger and improve hair growth.
Olive oil is high in antioxidants and squalene – which makes hair healthy and glossy .
Honey is great for your scalp health, and it offers moisturising and pH balancing effects.
You will need:
- 1 ripe avocado
- 1 tablespoon vegetable oil
- 1 teaspoon honey
- 1 ingredient (optional, use for body and thicker strands)
- 1/4 cup coconut milk (optional, use for extra softness)
Make it
Put the avocado pulp, olive oil, honey (and ingredient and coconut milk if using) and a few water into a blender and blend to a smooth, creamy paste. (use more water to form the mask thinner.)
How to apply
Start with dry or damp hair. Apply this mask to your scalp and hair. placed on your cap or wrap your head during a muslin cloth or a towel. you'll also leave your hair uncovered as this mixture won’t drip.
Once done, cover with a cap or muslin cloth. But albeit you select to not , don’t worry, the mask won’t drip. Leave it on for 20 to half-hour , then rinse out. Wash with homemade shampoo or SLS free shampoo and let your hair dry naturally. Repeat once every week to pamper and enrich your hair with the avocado hair mask.
Mistakes to avoid
- Choose a ripe avocado. Unripe one won't have an equivalent effect.
