What I’m Listening To: Wellness Podcasts
Podcasts are a recurring theme on this blog. I’ve already written about my favorite creative podcasts, beauty podcasts, blogging podcasts, and binge-worthy podcasts within the past, and considering that my current subscription list is at 120, you'll expect more thematic lists within the future.
If you’re wondering how on earth I even have the time to stay up with of these different podcasts – I most definitely don’t.
In the previous couple of years, I became very intentional and selective about how I consume content. Before that, I had a difficult time drawing boundaries.
I followed blogs and feeds just out of habit. I never quit books and it took me longer than it should need to abandon TV shows that became boring or bad after a promising start. I’m probably not the sole one who sometimes feels the pressure to end things or feels bad about quitting after I’ve invested such a lot time into something (the irony, of course, is that leads to even longer wasted). within the case of podcasts, once I found a replacement one, I felt like I had to travel back and begin from the start and not skip any episodes.
With the insane amount of content we've access to, it’s easy to lose
control and slip into an endless binge consuming mode, not even questioning
whether what you read/watch/listen to truly adds real value to your
life.
Nowadays, I’m very firm about those boundaries and thus protecting my time. I regularly declutter my social media feeds. I quit or don’t even start TV shows regardless of how trendy they're if they bore me. I skip podcast episodes if they don’t particularly interest me.
I only consume what i actually want and when it suits me, not the instant it pops abreast of my screen. I don’t let FOMO dictate how I spend my time.
So, no, I’m not spending 128 hours every week on podcasts. There
are a few of ones I hear hebdomadally . The others
– counting on my mood. Sometimes I desire taking note
of politics or educational podcasts. Other times, i would like lighter
themes and open my skincare, popular culture , or lifestyle
playlists.
And when I’m within the mood for a few healthy lifestyle
inspiration, I address my favorite wellness podcasts.
I researched and tried several wellness-themed podcasts within the previous
couple of months. Some I quit because I didn’t enjoy them, some I didn’t
even start (like the Goop podcast – I refuse to support them on any platform).
These are my current favorites.

The Wellness Mama Podcast
Katie is that the blogger behind the award-winning wellness and lifestyle blog, The Wellness Mama. She manages a family with six kids, her company, and online brand and still has time and energy to take care of a healthy lifestyle. Her podcast focuses on holistic health, natural living, and wellbeing. She interviews experts, uncovers the science behind wellness trends and topics (often debunking popular myths – bonus points for that) and provides simple and actionable wellness tips. i really like how versatile this show is; I always learn plenty just by listening.
The Mindful Kind
Hosted by Rachael Kable, The Mindful Kind podcast focuses on the mindfulness aspects of wellbeing – the way to build positive lifestyle habits, healthy routines, and the way to measure a stress-free, intentional life. Sometimes, discussions about mindfulness are a touch too vague on behalf of me , but this podcast features a very practical approach with actually actionable tips. Also, the episodes are short, around 10-minutes long, in order that they are perfect once I have only a touch little bit of time for podcast listening.
